Boomtown is an area north of Steel Canyon in Paragon City. It was formerly known as Baumton, and was once the headquarters of both the Freedom Phalanx and the Midnight Squad before its destruction in the Rikti Invasion of 2002. It has since been declared a Hazard Zone.

The hero NovaPrima was in Baumton when the Rikti bomb exploded, which put her in a coma for seven years.
The ruins of Baumton became the battleground between Galatea Powers and Leona Powers in "Guardians of the Dawn Spotlight" #25.
