Julie got her start as a plucky reporter for the Millennium City Free Press newspaper. She initially covered human interest stories, but took a chance and started to follow the activities of Millennium City's mysterious vigilante hero Nighthawk. Almost overnight she became a city reporter providing exclusive stories of Nighthawk's activities, and sometimes finding herself in danger because of them.
