Agent Wednesday is a character in the world of Champions Online MMO.

She is a special agent with the FBI's Extra-Perception Investigation Division (aka the "Fortune-Teller Squad"), dedicated to investigate incidents involving telepaths.

Character History

Anna Keen knew something was wrong with her ever since she was a child growing up in rural Ohio. She believed she was hearing voices but people were not saying anything. Eventually her parents told her that she had telepathic powers.

Fortunately there was a government facility in Ohio that helped keep her powers in check. Then, afterward, she was approached by a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be trained in how to properly use her powers in service to the nation.

She spent four years training with seasoned telepaths before being assigned to the regional headquarters in Lansing, Michigan. During that time, she married and later divorced the man who would later become her supervisor. She kept his surname, though, as a way to protect her relatives.

Most of her cases involved low-level telepaths, often those with newly-discovered abilities, that would use their powers to commit crimes or to influence cases. On occasion, she would be asked to escort criminal telepaths to and from court to ensure that telepathic blocks are in place. But the notoriety of her division in finding and neutralizing telepathic abuses earned them the nickname of the "Fortune-Teller Squad".

In 2014, Agent Wednesday was assigned to investigate an incident involving The Nationalist in Millennium City. She learned that this investigation was really payback for a powerful congresswoman who was related to the pyrokinetic extremist, but she still treated it as any other case.

During her investigation, she learned that there were a rash of people who suddenly developed telepathic powers. One such person was Candace Sinclair, an attorney connected to Galatea Future, one of the people who brought down The Nationalist. The agent's superiors wanted her to go after Galatea Future, but she instead focused on Sinclair, since having telepathic powers is a disbarring offense.

She would later discover that Sinclair's powers came from a stimulant called "Wake-Ez"; a drug from a subsidiary of The Mind, Inc. that managed to get around federal regulations. With help from Project Mycroft, she was able to put a stop to the drug's distribution and bring down it's chairwoman, Dr. Alison Wonderland.

Afterward, Agent Wednesday was in charge of overseeing the outcome of those affected by the drug, including arranging a light punishment for Sinclair and the other attorneys that were unwillingly turned into telepaths.

Powers and Abilities

Agent Wednesday is a formidable telepath, trained by the best to use her powers in service to the Bureau.

In addition to her powers, she is also a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, not to mention somewhat nimble.

Personality

Anna Wednesday doesn't like to do much outside of work. Having telepathic powers means nothing is really a surprise to her. This means that having a personal life is really next to impossible for her.
