Hero-fan

As the term implies, to be a "hero-fan" is to be a fan of all things hero-related.

This can take many forms. Most often it's to describe someone who spends their time fixated on the activities of heroes. They visit hero websites and social media groups. They read best-selling books by or about heroes. (Yes, that also includes comic books.) They primarily watch hero-related movies or TV programs.

In the rare cases, extreme hero-fans dress-up. They will make homemade costumes of their favorite heroes and will dress up like them. They will frown on anything that appears to be store-bought, and will even use the term "store-bought" as an insult.

"Hero-fans" are a huge segment of the followers of the "Sentinels of Love" series by Athena Rose Fairmore.
