Dreadlaw

Dreadlaw is a Peacebringer and member of the Paragon City Police Department. Dreadlaw is a member of the Awakended Division, which means he is Kheldian that has merged with an active PPD Police Officer to become a Peacebringer.

In addition to his responsibilities as a police officer, Dreadlaw's Kheldian form was specifically assigned from the Kheldian leadership to serve as a special enforcer for all matters involving the Kheldains, be they Peacebringer, Warshades, or even Nictus. To that end he was given (with the silent consent of the United Nations Security Council) unprecedented powers as judge, jury, and executioner for any matter concerning Kheldians.

Encounter with Daybright

The actions of the newly-merged Kheldian hybrid Daybright attracted Dreadlaw and compelled him to investigate her arrival. When she announced she was a Peacebringer Redeemer, Dreadlaw took that as an abomination and violation of the Lifebond and condemned her to immediate execution. She fought back and fled.

Because Daybright's arrival was also being investigated by the Guardians of the Dawn, Dreadlaw's actions drew an immediate rebuke by Captain Paragonna. Dreadlaw announced that his position as a Kheldian superceeded Paragon City authority, and that he would do anything in his power to terminate Daybright. He also warned the Guardians to not get in his way.

Later that evening, Dreadlaw took the Kheldian supervisor Sunstorm into custody as a way to get Daybright to come out of hiding, believing Sunstorm was working with Daybright's Kheldian form in selecting the host body. The Kheldians informed Vanguard that they were distancing themselves of Dreadlaw's efforts. The following morning, after an encounter between Daybright, Captain Paragonna, and the brief arrival of the all-Kheldian Horus (himself a former Peacebringer Redeemer), Dreadlaw was taken into custody for violating both Kheldian and Paragon City law.

Dreadlaw's current whereabouts are unknown. It is believed he is in custody either by Vanguard or by the Kheldians themselves.
