Rick Davies is an in-game character and former superhero. He is also the Director of the Department of Advanced Technology Application (or D.A.T.A.) located in City Hall.
Character History
A former football quarterback, Rick Davies was one of the first heroes to operate using powered armor of his own design. He initally operated as Horatio until the Rikti destroyed his armor and nearly killed him. Nursed back to health by the woman who would later become his wife, he took a position with the FBSA, but was somewhat bitter about the fact that he was no longer an active hero.
It is said that Rick was a jerk in high school and college. While being a hero somewhat mellowed his cocky attitude, his arrogance would later manifest itself in other ways.
While serving as the director of D.A.T.A., he has been making life difficult for Phil Ski, a nerdy worker who long had an infatuation with his sister. Some would suspect him of being overly protective of Susan, but in reality, it's just because he's a jerk and a bully and a coward who only felt strong when he had his power armor. It's not the first time he's been this way. He's also been a jerk to Captain Catastrophe, mostly because of the fact that his brother, Major Catastrophe, previously used his sister.
He has also been running a side business, selling "Green Pouch" ready-made meals and survivalist programs while on city time. His blatant abuse of city time has been noted by city officials for years, but has been allowed to get away with it because of his sacrifices as a hero.
Family
His sister is Susan Davies, director of E.L.I.T.E., although she is suspected of getting her job only because of his influence.
He is also married to Caitlin Murry-Davies, who previously ran the D.A.T.A. office in Galaxy City, but now shares the same office with him.
Powers and Abilities
As "Horatio", Rick's power was in his power-suit. Without his suit, however, Rick is just a broken man who can't even fight.
Personality
Rick Davies is an abusive bully. He fears those that can beat him, and he takes that out on those he can intimidate.
