Madeline Brunner was once an accountant working for "The Mind, Inc."
Her boss, Dr. Sebastian Poe, was eager to test out a serum designed to create telepathic powers. He was also madly infatuated with Madeline and believed that if she had his kind of power, that she'd be the perfect mate for him.
The serum worked, giving Madeline incredible power to freeze people in place. But that didn't make her fall in love with him. Quite the opposite. She played the same game, only this time with Poe's "assistant", Simon Bell, who later became Psimon. Together, they betrayed Poe and took his business and used it as a front for their own telepathic gang. Since her trademark power is being able to freeze people in their place, she eagerly took the code-name Medusa in honor of the Greek legend.
Powers and Abilities
Medusa's power is telekinesis. She can manipulate things with her mind. This includes her signature power of stopping people in place. But it is not the only way she can use that power. She can also create telekinetic constructs such as swords, which she can wield and inflict both physical and psychological damage.
Medusa is very manipulative and deceitful. She knows what she wants and she will do anything she can to get it. And now that she has her psionic ability, she doesn't even have to degrade herself. She can use her power to degrade others, which she takes great delight in doing.
