Anarchy-999 is an anarchist group in the now-defunct City of Heroes MMO.

Group History

According to the European superhero group Dawn Patrol, "Anarchy-999" got their start protesting the proposed European Union. Before that, they were a hodgepodge of anarchists, socialists, nihilists, and other people just bent on creating chaos for the sake of chaos with nothing that would ever bring them together.

It is said that the initial group met during a convention and brought together by a strange French anarchist called Le Zoot. They caused some minor skirmishes, but nobody really knew who they were. Finally, out of frustration, Le Zoot got attention by shooting at the painting of the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, only to later find out that it was a replica.

The group was finally taken down by freshman hero Lyon Powers. With the capture and incarceration of Le Zoot, the remaining members of Anarchy-999 went their own ways.

A second group made its appearance in Paragon City during a live PNN broadcast of "The Garry Becker Experience" which focused on the Welsh superhero Lyon Powers. Under the direction of "Lord Zolaris", the group dressed themselves as characters from a certain anime series and attacked the PNN studio building while also holding off members of the Guardians of the Dawn hero group. They were able to briefly take over the broadcast to spread their bizarre anarchist message before they were stopped by both Lyon Powers and Galatea Powers.

The Truth

What is not public knowledge is that "Anarchy-999" was created by the Bilderburg Alliance as an easy "diversion". This includes the second incarnation, which was created by Simon Barrister as part of his way to access the computer system of the Guardians of the Dawn.
