"Caped" is a slang word referring to exposing a hero's secret identity, often in public.
The term originated in the TV comedy series "Captain Maxaminimum", which featured a bumbling superhero whose secret identity is revealed numerous times through his own ineptitude, often by forgetting to tuck-in his cape under his pants.
Some people have also taken it upon themselves, especially in Millennium City and Vibora Bay, to "cape" heroes mostly as a challenge.
