Sir Windham Powers is the son of the British superhero Skylord and is the patriarch of the Powers Family in the City of Heroes MMO.

He is the father of Lyon Powers and the late Welsh Fury, and the adopted "father" of Galatea Powers, not to mention the father and uncle of several other heroes serving in the Dawn Patrol or the United Nations Vanguard.

Family History

Windham Powers is the son of Clayton Powers, who started his career during World War II as Skykid. After the war, Clayton (who later changed his hero name to "Skylord") married his longtime girlfriend and had several children. Most, it was discovered, had superhuman powers like their father and were all-too eager to follow in his footsteps. But one child, Windham, was surprisingly normal.

While most of the Powers family were busy saving the United Kingdom, Windham spent his time focusing his mind and body and sharpening his skills in the field of intelligence. He began working with MI5, helping detect threats to the UK, which included threats from super-powered beings. He would be the one giving information to his brothers and sisters to combat, so it would be natural that this would transfer to family affairs when their father eventually passed away.

The Cold War generation got married and had children, and Windham was no exception. He married Penny Money, his supervisor's secretary, and eventually was promoted to the head of MI5. He was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his service to the country.

After the First Rikti Invasion, Sir Windham retired as the head of MI5, focusing his time with his surviving family members, several of which were lost in the war, including his daughter, Faith. For a few years he served as the operations manager for Dawn Patrol, but eventually retired from that as well.

Powers and Abilities

Despite his family lineage, Windham Powers has no superhuman abilities. In fact, he is the only member of the Powers bloodline without powers. He is, however, a trained British intelligence agent, with a specialty in firearms.
