A Faux Comic Cover is what the name implies. It is a mock-up of a comic book cover that is not connected to any kind of publication.
Sometimes graphic artists will create faux covers either in parody or hommage to actual comic book covers or to promote an MMO character.
Many a MMO player will use screenshots of their characters in a fake comic book cover.
In addition, the Champions Online MMO saves their costume files as data disguised as a faux comic cover.
