"Common Multiverse Time" (or "CMT") operates under the presumption (and often the fallacy) that all universes operate in sync at the same time.

In other words, if it is 10:00am on February 29th, 2012 in one universe, then it should be the same in every universe under the idea of CMT.

CMT does not presuppose that a universe can run faster or slower compared to other universes, or that time depends on gravitic forces and that it runs faster in younger universes and slower in those approaching Event Terminal.

CMT can be used, though, in comparrison to universes that are similar enough to each other to have a common date.
