"Ratner-Singer Syndrome" is a mental disorder in the world of Champions Online MMO. It refers to a mind that is unwilling to recognize that they have telepathic powers.

A person that suffers from Ratner-Singer Syndrome is usually someone in denial of their abilities. This often occurs at the first realization, when the person refuses to believe they have this ability, or else they are in a position of responsibility where having such power would be a detriment. This is especially the case when it comes to members of the judiciary, which is the one vocation where having telepathic powers is illegal. But they are not the only ones who suffer from it. Religious leaders, especially those with strong anti-mutant stances, will confuse telepathy with satanic messages.

A key sign of Ratner-Singer Syndrome comes when a dual or even multiple personalities have been created. Multiple personality syndrome is a common method of dealing with telepathic powers. The new personality would revel in the power while their "base" personality can continue to live in complete denial of it.
