The organization known as the '''Paranormal Research and Investigation Mission of the United States''', or simply '''PRIMUS''' for short, is the highest criminal investgation group in the United States in the world of '''[[Champions Online MMO|Champions Online]]'''.

PRIMUS is a joint operation between the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice, utilizing all available resources to confront and neutralize super-powered threats both foreign and domestic.

PRIMUS was formed following the passage of what has been dubbed as the PRIMUS Laws, which not only reorganized all the various federal investigation and law enforcement agencies into one group, but it also gave authority to recruit and empower superhuman individuals instead of them operating as vigilantes.

Although PRIMUS is considered the highest law enforcement group in the United States, it also works with the '''[[United Nations Tribunal on International Law]]''' ''(a.k.a. '''UNTIL''')'' on several projects, including and especially thoses with '''[[Project Greenskin]]''', which deals with the nuclear wastelands of [[Burning Sands]] and the supervillain known as [[Grond]].
