War Witch is an in-game character in Paragon City.

She currently exists in two places, both as a spectral being in Croatoa, and as a flesh-and-blood contact in Pocket D.

She is also the alter-ego of MMO Developer Melissa Bianco.

Comic Incarnation

Born Clarissa Moore, War Witch first appeared in the one-shot Dark Horse promotional special and was one of three central character in the Blue King Studios incarnation of the "City of Heroes" comic series along with Apex and Horus.

Sadly, she was killed by Requiem in Issue #12. But even though dead, she made two cameo appearances (including one as a ghost) in the Top Cow Comics incarnation of the series.

Her spirit still exists in Croatoa, helping serve as a trainer for other heroes.

After the release of Issue 13: Power and Responsibility, a second incarnation of Clarissa Moore appeared in the Blue-Side balcony of the Pocket D nightclub. Originally serving as a trainer for heroes only, this alternate version now assists both heroes and villains needing to increase their power levels.

Those who approach this version of War Witch will hear her admit that she is from an alternate reality.

Other References

The Pocket D incarnation of War Witch made a special appearance several issues of the "Guardians of the Dawn Spotlight" series, starting with the text-only Issue #0 (2009). She also serves as a lookout for the door that leads to The Editors and is a friend and confidant of Doc Tor.

In Issue #9 she helps Coeur Du Feu understand the nature of cursed charms. She also explains that she cannot leave Pocket D to offer any kind of physical aid, and asks that the young hero not tell Apex that she is there.

The (original) spirit form of War Witch appeard briefly in Issue #13 in an attempt to contact the Kheldian spirit once known as Horus.
