Numina
Numina is an in-game character in the City of Heroes MMO.
She was one of the original "Surviving Eight" heroes of the Alpha-Omega Gambit and a member of the Freedom Phalanx.

Character History
Tammy Arcanus is the daughter of Tommy Arcanus of the Midnight Squad. She followed in her father's footsteps in the 1960's and was a proud member of the Midnight Squad. During a mission to save the world from a Soviet madman, she plunged her mind into the body of a madman. The process was fatal for her own body, but her astral form survived and eventually was freed. Free from death, she now uses her astral body to help train the next generation of heroes.

Unlike other non-player characters, Numina was actually created by an early City of Heroes player during a forum contest by Cryptic Studios to "Name the Surviving Eight".
Numina appeared in the Top Cow Comics incarnation of the "City of Heroes" comic series.
She also appeared in "Tales From Paragon City" #3 as one of the few people that helped the intergalactic refugee Qwa.
