Multifaria is the name of an alternate dimension in the world of Champions Online MMO.
Its multiverse designation is Echo-Chi-11-517
It mirrors that of the normal Champions universe in many ways until the rise of the Shadow Destroyer. That world's James Harmon IV used his family's bloodline to amass unchecked power for himself. Using magic and minions from another realm, he became the "Shadow Destroyer" and used his power to gather together a team of superpowered villains known as "The Conquerors". Together, they conquered Detroit and subjugated it.
Starting in 2011, Shadow Destroyer became aware of other worlds similar to his, and he has been seeking ways to invade the world of the Champions.
