"Event Terminal" is in reference to the natural end of a universe, otherwise known as the "Great Blackout".

It is the time when all energy in the universe is expended and entropy dissolves all the bonds of reality.

Nothing can exist during Event Terminal since all matter and energy are dissolved on a quantum particle level.

It is the opposite of "Event One" which signifies the beginning of the universe.

This can happen in various ways.

  • There is a "great rip", where all the bonds are broken.
  • There is natural entropy, known as a "great freeze", where all energy is naturally expended and thus the bonds of matter are dissolved.
  • There is a dissolution caused by a great temporal paradox, such as when a key point in time is broken, and the universe spontaneously "combusts" in a failed attempt to compensate. (This is the method used by Alor to destroy universes in his mad attempt to resurrect the "Original Gods".)
  • There is the possibility of a "great snap", where the universe reaches a hypothetical limit of expansion and thus contracts back, forcing all matter back towards the universal center, whereby a new "Event One" occurs.
