Adrenaline Gas is a substance that was originally developed in the Praetorian Universe in the City of Heroes MMO as one of many ways Emperor Cole exercises control over the masses.
The gas is designed to invoke the automatic "flight-or-fight" response in humans, which makes people continually scared and nervous. The gas is used in places where people should not be in. It is also used as a prelude to police activitiy, forcing the victims to either become aggressive or to flee in fear.
The gas eventually made its way to the Primal Universe, where LexieTech found ways to use it for their own purposes.
