It was the Devouring Earth that raided the labs and forced Dr. Frostburg and his assistant into the cryo-chambers. When they emerged, both found themselves with strange cold based powers, however something in the process left the assistant not quite right mentally. Taking the name Nurse Frigid, she went made a psychotic path of destruction, blaming Dr. Frostburg and men in general for her woes.
