			During her time as Leona Powers, Galatea was a seemingly average little girl, albeit sheltered and with superpowers. Much like Kent Powers, she was raised in isolation atop Mount Washington among other children of heroes.

			When Lionel's "blood programming" kicked in, Leona was torn between the girl she was raised as and the Machiavellian monster the programming forced her to be. She became psychotic. This was alleviated when Kent donated his own DNA to counteract the programming. As the "reset" Karen, she was once again eager and optimistic.

			Growing into a young woman, Karen Powers struggled to maintain the "virtuous" image of a super-powered woman in the public eye. She wasn't rebellious. She lived the straight-and-narrow life. But she did feel she continually have something to prove, especially after Kent went into semi-retirement.

			In the Primal Universe, Galatea continued to follow the straight-and-narrow, even in the early years when she had no memory of who she was. She was powerful but noble. However some people noticed a slight "edge" with her on occasion.

			In the months when Leona's personality would gradually "resurface" ''(during the "Galatea Dawning" storyline)'', Galatea took on a more arrogant and dangerous personality. She became very conservative, even fascistic in her attitudes. Obviously this changed during the physical fission of the two women.

			Since becoming her "true" self, Galatea has found herself to be almost a new woman. She's friendly and still every bit heroic, but there's also a fear about her that has yet to be explained.

			Galatea tries to be warm and friendly, even encouraging fan appreciation as witnessed by her support of the "[[We Heart Galatea Powers]]" website and other fan-run websites.

			As a young woman, Karen Powers had a few romantic relationships that have yet to be explained. Most of these would be considered "puppy love" relationships. She was also the object of several obsessive personalities, which may explain why she does not want to open up too much about herself outside of her heroic appearance.
