			In 2014, Elle discovered that Rochspare was setting the stage for a hostile takeover of the Rocinante Group. The cunning attorney had masterfully removed all of Elle's associates, including her [[BloodBlader\|bodyguard]], and their [[NovaPrima\|most powerful agent]], and cut off all communication for "maintenance". Unable to contact Lord Geddy and with the [[Libra Order]] unavailable, Elle made a drastic and impulsive move during the conference call with the Board of Directors for the vote of no confidence. She physically attacked Rochspare with her knives.

			The wounds were not fatal, but they did cause extensive bleeding, which forced a postponement of the vote of no confidence. News of the attack quickly reached Lord Geddy, who then contacted his friends in the [[Bilderburg Alliance]]. While Elle gladly confessed to the brutal assault and quickly accepted what would be a lifetime prison term, seeds of Geddy's return were planted in the Board of Directors, and Rochspare's takeover was squashed.

			After Geddy returned to Paragon City, he soon visited Elle in prison. He thanked her for her sacrifice and promised he will do all he can to get her freedom.

=Character History=
Born and raised in Montreal, Elle Maple joined the Rocinante Group in the 1970's as a member of the secretarial pool. When Lee Geddy was in training to inherit the business from his father, he saw great potential in Elle, and recruited her to work for his office.

Elle was immediately attracted to her boss, but she knew it was not reciprocated. Still, she transferred this dedication into her work and became one of the most formidable members of Lee Geddy's inner circle. When Geddy inherited his father's title of ''"Margrave of Niagara"'' as well as given control of the Rocinante Group, Elle was promoted as well, becoming his chief executive assistant.

Since the Rocinante Group dealt with government agencies around the world, she was offered and quickly accepted training with the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Forces_Land_Force_Command Canadian Land Forces] in close-quarters combat, especially in the use of knives. She then required that all executive assistants be likewise trained.

Elle's chief asset to her boss has been her unquestionable loyalty to him first, and to the Rocinante Group second. This has included doing things that went above and beyond normal "executive" duties.
