Elwin Craw was born into a wealthy family but at a young age, his parents left him and his sister. In an incident where his best childhood friend Gabe was thought to have died, Elwin discovered a mutant power and was able to resurrect Gabe. Unfortunately he came back wrong and in his adulthood became the villain known as [[Father Gabriel]]. Elwin in adulthood however focused on his powers and using them for heroic means, taking the name [[Dark Synaspe]], while his older sister continues to run Craw International.
